I was thrilled to be at the official launch of the Women's Equality Network last night. As Camilla Palmer said, the room was 'buzzing' - but not just with excitement, with intent.

We will get as much out of this opportunity as we put in, so let's come together and help each other.

I interviewed the Liberian Nobel Peace Prize winner Leymah Gbowee recently. By encouraging women to join forces in peaceful protest, the former warlord Charles Taylor was overthrown. After decades of civil war, Liberians are now living in peace.

Leymah has inspired me to believe that women anywhere in the world can achieve great things - if they stand together.
